Spotify Premium approached Untitled to help create a bank of refreshed global assets with a cohesive creative including illustrations, 3d animation and a set of still life photography. The ask was to incorporate a global lens while keeping in line with current guidelines. We supplemented Spotify Premium’s guidelines by incorporating additional design elements to help create a cohesive thread throughout the creative while elevating the brand and differentiating the work from Masterbrand.
My role in the project was to support in Art Direction with a concentration on visuals, closely collaborating with our Senior Art Director from conception to execution. I assisted in concepting the shot and illustration lists, briefings for photographers and illustrators, casting, and preparation for production. On set, I worked closely with styling and wardrobe, ensuring global watch-outs and restrictions were addressed, textures and colors worked visually with set design and art direction, and communicating client asks and callouts. Post-production, we created cropping guidelines and worked with the illustrator and animator to ensure the final work successfully lived in the same world as the photography.
The final result was a bank of 71 stills, 14 illustrations, 13 gifs and 3 animated videos -- assets to be leveraged on all Premium channels and used in partnerships with global brands.
