📍 Japan Google Maps
(note: we did not go to all of these places but these were all places that were recommended to us)

Must hits:
It’s impossible to pick a favorite child but let’s say you can only pick one of each category to hit. These are the things I would say you simply cannot pass on:
👀: Harajuku
I think I expected so crazy cosplaying outfits here but it’s so much more diverse than I thought. Omotesando is this super luxey street known as Tokyo’s Champs-Elysees. Walk into some side streets for some hidden gems, boutique stores, etc. (plus an adorable micro pig cafe).
🍷: SG Club
If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same owners as Sip & Guzzle in New York! This wacky cocktail bar was so successful, they brought it to NYC. I couldn’t get a res so we walked up a little before opening and got a seat no problem.
☕️: Vending Machine Coffee
I'm so serious. You will see these coffee vending machines everywhere - they sell canned iced lattes, iced coffees, hot (warm?) coffees, tea… And they are delicious. I would say we got these pretty much everyday.
🍽️: 7-Eleven
Again… I know it sounds crazy… but I said what I said and I meant what I said. Technically, you can find 7-Eleven everywhere but since Tokyo is likely your first stop in Japan, it’ll feel so special and revolutionary. Favorite grabs include: Chashu Pork Onigiri, Egg Sandwich, & Doroyaki (images below).
🛍️: Onitsuka
This is technically Asics, but I believe some styles are exclusive to Japan so why not. My favorite location was this Shibuya location (not to be confused with the one by Shibuya crossing, as that one seemed to be quite busy and sold out of a lot of sizes). This one was a bit more chill and close to that Harajuku area.
7-Eleven Faves:
My fave was the chashu pork 💕
